InMotion E20

Despite the approachable design, the E20 still covers everyday needs: up to 20 km/h top speed, practical range for short trips, app control, lighting, and a compact 13.5 kg body that's easy to carry and store.

Key features

  • Dual-wheel innovation: two 14″ pneumatic tires with ~55 mm spacing for built-in stability and self-balancing when stationary.
  • Beginner-friendly ride modes: 7 km/h (Beginner), 15 km/h (Normal), 20 km/h (Sport), with progressive tilt-back and alerts.
  • Compact, durable shell: curved, impact-resistant housing that shrugs off typical beginner bumps, with IPX5 weather resistance.
  • App integration: speed modes, calibration, diagnostics, and lighting control via the InMotion app (iOS/Android).
  • Lighting and audio: headlight, brake light, customizable RGB accents, and a Bluetooth speaker for music or AVAS alerts.
  • Safety stack: 20+ protections including lift-to-cutoff, charging lockout, and temperature/voltage monitoring.

Performance and ride experience

Motor and speed: 450 W nominal (900 W peak) delivers up to 20 km/h and confident starts for new riders. Rated climbs of about 15–18° suit urban hills and ramps.

Battery and range: the 240 Wh (48 V) battery is ideal for short commutes and park rides. Expect roughly 15–30 km depending on rider weight, terrain, temperature, and speed. A full charge takes about 3.5 hours on the included charger.

Handling: straight lines and gentle arcs feel rock-solid. In tighter corners one tire naturally unweights, giving a familiar EUC lean. On rough ground, grass, or steep grades performance drops — this wheel is happiest on smooth paths.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Self-balances when powered on
  • Very fast to learn and mount
  • Light, compact, easy to carry
  • Clear safety cues and tilt-back
  • Customizable lights and app tuning

Cons

  • Less agile than single-wheel EUCs
  • Not ideal on rough or grassy terrain
  • Short range vs. bigger commuter wheels
  • Lower ceiling for rider progression

These trade-offs are the point: the E20 trades top-end performance for a ride almost anyone can pick up on day one.

Who is this wheel for?

  • First-time riders who want the fastest learning curve
  • Families and kids, for parks, paths, and flat neighborhoods
  • Nervous adults who prefer self-balancing at standstill
